Hey y’all! We just got back from a tour through Poland and Germany, where we played the gigantic Harley Days 2015 event in Hamburg on June 27 alongside UFO from England.
Over 100 000 Harley’s streamed into Hamburg from all over Europe and about 500 000 visitors over the weekend of June 26-28 for Harley Days 2015.
A big thanks to all the fine folks who came out for our set of shows in Poland and Germany, and especially a big shout-out to Sven Hartwig from the Cowboy Und Indianer music bar, where we played our last gig on June 28 before heading back to Finland.
Crossfyre lead singer Michael’s wife Diana Majalahti took the following pics from the tour:

Next up, we play another biker bash here in Finland on the island of Mossala on July 10, organized by Free Bikers Finland, called the Mossala Run. Be there!
This past Saturday night in Turenki, Finland, Crossfyre played the Blues, Bikes & BBQ Rally, organized by Custom Bikers Finland and Free Bikers Finland.
The weather was chilly to say the least, with everyone’s fingers feeling more like icicles than digits, due to the near-Arctic spring temperatures.
Our 45-minute set saw the bikers grooving away, albeit well-inebriated, as we tore through a short, but effective set of originals and a few cover songs before the midnight curfew hit, as the venue was lakeside with a housing area surrounding the shoreline.
Next up, Crossfyre hits Sonic Pump Studios next week to lay down tracks for our third LP outing, yet to be named. From there, we head to Poland and Germany on tour in the latter half of June, before returning to Finland for a summer full of gigs.
We’ve had a helluva couple of past weekends with Crossfyre, playing both the CBF (Free Bikers Finland) one-year anniversary event on January 31 at Bar Loose in Helsinki (in conjunction with the annual Helsinki Motorcycle Expo after party) and Porvoo´n´Blues Vol. 2 in Porvoo, Finland on February 7.
We had a couple of fantastic gigs once again up in Lapland this past weekend, complete with driving over 3400km in total to bring our specific flavor of southern rock to the Arctic Circle.
On Friday night in Saariselkä, we played the annual Jänkhällä Jytisee biker bash at Santa’s Hotel. With about an estimated 500-plus folks on hand, filling out the hotel nightclub, we worked the bikers into a fevered frenzy. People wore wide smiles, beamed with good vibes and danced the night away to Crossfyre’s originals and select cover songs. Our hotel suite was indeed sweet, with three rooms and a living room, complete with sauna and kitchen quarters. There’s something to be said also for northern hospitality, with several meals on the house for the band while we were there.
Our second Lapland gig in Ivalo, just 30km north of Saariselkä, offered fantastic food and excellent accommodations, also. Ravintola Kultahippu is Ivalo’s premiere pub and live music establishment and the folks up there really appreciate good, live entertainment. We had this bar and pub rocking, drawing all manner of younger and older clientelle to the dance floor to shake their blues away to Crossfyre’s music.
Next up: the City of Porvoo’s Moonriver 2014 summer festival on Friday, August 29, with our set starting on stage at 22:00. For this gig, our second founding member and second guitarist,Jay Jay Asikainen, will be coming in from Florida. Be sure to come out and see this great spectacular!
After playing a host of gigs across Estonia, Poland and Germany in support of our new “Iron Horse” album release, Crossfyre performed a few summer festival gigs and biker bashes here in Finland over the past month.
The Harley-Davidson Super Rally 2014 in Tallinn was the definitive highlite of the summer so far, and now the band is preparing to hit a few dates around Finland over the course of next month in August, as band vocalist StarBuck‘s pro wrestling commitments have his calendar booked for much of July.
Here are a few Crossfyre gigs to look out for in August:
Friday, August 8 – LEVI @ Wild Ride
Saturday, August 9 – KUUSAMO @ Ravintola Veijo
Friday, August 15 – SAARISELKÄ @ Jänkhällä Jytisee
Saturday, August 16 – IVALO @ Ravintola Kultahippu
